At Stroke your Eco, our mission is to protect and preserve the environment through advocacy, education, and action. We work towards a sustainable future for all.
Founded in 2021 by Lynn Brotherston , she and a group of amazing volunteers have dedicated themselves to clean up lakes, streams and rivers between Ocean and Monmouth County, bringing in an estimated 43,000 lbs since it's inception.
Stroke your ECO gets out into the NJ waterways by vessel (kayak, canoe and/or paddle board) extracting anything from plastic bottles, to tires, barrels, furniture or whatever else presents itself that doesn't belong. All items are properly disposed of to ensure a clean environment for the inhabitants of our beautiful lakes, rivers and oceans.
The purpose behind this initiative is to help clean out the litter that makes up 60% of all pollution in our waterways. Not only is it a sight for sore eyes, it also affects our wildlife, such as birds, fish, turtles and other wildlife. Choking, suffocating and disabling these members of our ecosystem due to human behavior has got to be rectified and taken care of once and for all and that's what we do.
PLEASE DON'T LITTER
and to participate in a cleanup check the EVENTS box up top!
Hey everyone, thank you first and foremost for visiting my page. I appreciate all the support. This has been quite the journey thus far and with a little bit of your help I can continue on fighting the good fight and get these waterways cleaned up. Any donation will help offset the cost of tools, such as grabbers, bags, gloves, and eventually kayaks to get more people out that want to contribute. Once again thank you for your support from the bottom of my heart!

Lynn was thrilled and absolutely honored to get the message out about Stroke your ECO, the community she gets to work with and environmentalism with the Mayor of Brick! We appreciate any opportunity to get the word out about linking up with more volunteers to help out the cause! A huge thank you to Mayor Crate for this tremendous opportunity!
